Commission – Private Residence, Kensington, London, UK
A sculptural installation suspended above an indoor pool for a private residence. Part of a series of slatted plywood works, this piece is the only example from the collection permitted for public presentation. Conceived as a continuation of our exploration into movement and material flow, the form takes inspiration from the shifting patterns of water — cascading through space, drawing the eye downward from the stairwell, and expanding across the pool enclosure.
Formed from layers of birch plywood finished in a fire-retardant lacquer, the structure ripples across ceiling and wall in a continuous motion. The slatted geometry captures the fluid dynamics of the site, translating light and shadow into an undulating surface that mirrors the pool below.
The installation unites sculptural form with architectural space, creating an atmosphere of calm movement — where timber, reflection, and water appear to flow as one.
